Connecting external data sources
DESK is an open software system. With our Desk® Connectivity technology, external data sources can be connected quickly and easily. Desk® Connectivity is designed to receive data and process it based on pre-defined business rules. It is even possible to define a completely automated content stream from external source to publication in one or more channels.
External sources can be connected to DESK, such as:
- ERP systems to maintain basic product information
- External data sources such as Icecat and GS1 for enriching product specifications
- Contract systems for maintaining contractual information
- Product banks such as hotels for expanding the product range
- CRM systems to obtain personal information
- Website platforms, for f.e. user-generated content
- Suppliers

- Received data is processed based on rules
- Received personal data can be processed (automatically) and be used in print productions
